THE CHOICES OF THE DAY — Monday, October 26, 2026 There’s an important difference between selling fruits and vegetables and picking them. Those who sell need to find a customer for the product they have. We do the opposite: we start from our customers’ requests and every morning we go to the markets looking for the products that deserve to be chosen. We don’t have to sell what we’ve already bought. We have to choose what’s worth buying. And today we’re showing you a few examples. Let’s start with the tomatoes coming from Sicily, one of the origins we’re paying particular attention to at this time. Then the new Navel oranges, presented in single-layer packaging, which allows us to carefully examine the characteristics of each fruit. And also the new Kissabel apples, special not only for their outward appearance but especially for the surprising red color of their flesh. But today we also want to tell you about a more difficult choice: strawberries. Until last week, Veronese production had given us exceptional products. Now, however, availability is decreasing, and finding strawberries with the characteristics we're looking for has become much more complicated. And this is exactly where the skill of the selector comes in. Just because we confidently chose a product last week doesn’t mean it deserves to be chosen today. We can’t get attached to a source, a supplier, or a variety. We have to stay true to our selection criteria. Every morning the market changes. And every morning we have to be ready to change our choices. WE OBSERVE. WE COMPARE. WE SELECT. Commerfrutta — The Fresh Selector We don’t sell what we have. We choose what’s worth it.
