THE PICKS OF THE DAY — NOVEMBER 3, 2026 How many NOs do you have to say to get to a YES? Today, we’re taking you to a rather empty market in Verona, and then showing you something that often stays hidden: the work of our selectors. Today’s stars are red kiwis, which our team is checking very carefully. In a world that is increasingly leaning toward automation, there’s something that still makes a difference: the expert eye of someone who truly knows the product. Our work starts every morning at the markets. WE OBSERVE. WE COMPARE. WE SELECT. But it doesn't end with the purchase. When the products arrive at our logistics hub, routine checks begin: we check the condition of the goods, their ripeness, uniformity, and the characteristics that led us to choose them. Because selecting also means making sure what we bought meets our expectations. Precision. Consistency. Experience. And above all, the ability to say many NOs and few YESes. A product can look great, have an attractive price, come from an excellent producer. But that doesn't automatically mean it's the right one for our customer. The value of a selector isn't measured only by what they buy, but also by what they decide not to buy. This is the work we do every day, often out of sight of those who will receive our products. Because quality can't be improvised. It's built through many small decisions, carefully repeated every morning. COMMERFRUTTA — THE FRESH SELECTOR
We don’t sell what we have. We choose what’s worth it.  In your opinion, how much does human experience still matter when selecting fruits and vegetables?
